(1) Based on delivered heat output.

(2) This appliance is officially tested and certified by an independent agency.

(3) Values are as measured per CSA B415.1-10, except for the recommended heating area, firebox volume, maximum burn time and maximum input capacity. Performances based on a fuel load prescribed by the standard at 10 lb/ft³ and with a moisture content between 18% and 28%.

(4) Input value at 10 lb/ft³ fuel loading density and dry energy value of 8,600 BTU/lb.

(5) Overall : Radiated and delivered heat together at 10 lb/ft³ fuel loading density over one total burn cycle.

(6) Efficiency based on radiated and delivered heat when allowing cycling from high to low burn to simulate thermostat demand.

(7) Higher Heating Value of the fuel.

(8) Lower Heating Value of the fuel.

(9) Delivered: Remotely provided to other rooms through ducting at 10 lb/ft³ fuel loading density over one total burn cycle.

(11) Optimum overall efficiency at a specific burn rate (LHV).

(12) The optimum heat transfer efficiency is for the low burn rate (using HHV) and represents the appliance’s ability to convert the energy contained in the wood logs into energy transferred to the room in the form of heat and does not take into account the chemical losses during combustion.

(13) Carbon Monoxide. Based on overall heat output at 10 lb/ft³ fuel loading density.

(14) Unless stated otherwise, measures were taken directly at the main power source and include all electrical components present in the appliance.

Drolet heat commander

I would be happy to do a review but I can not yet because I do not have it installed. I have the stove in my basement ready to be installed by my local HVAC. I don’t have the funds to install it this year so I will have to get it installed next year hopefully before winter season. So if you want a review I will be happy to do so next fall unless I can run into funds to get this installed this fall yet.

Great Furnace!!

This is my first wood burning furnace I've owned but I'm no stranger to Drolet stoves. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a great heat source for there home. Runs itself with no trouble but do recommend use 20% and less moisture content wood. Other than that awsome product.
Fyredirect.com was quick about my order and the cheapest price. Thanks

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • I would like to hook this up to my ductwork. Is this possible?

    Yes, it is possible.

Please find the installation and operation manuals at the bottom of the product page. There you can find all the part measurements and compare them against your existing setup to make sure it all fits.

Any questions (specific or general) please feel free to email us at info@fyredirect.com. You can include as many pictures and diagrams as you want as well if you believe they might help.

    Thank you,
    FyreDirect team

  • How many C.F. M. is the hot air blower?

    Hello,

The total capacity of the blower is 1135 CFM but for the use of the furnace it is set to run at 875 CFM. This allows a better circulation and reach the emission rates.

    It cannot be modified.

    Thank you,
    Fyre Direct

  • What is the minimum chimney height for this stove?

That would be 12 feet, but we recommend 16 foot to have a good draft. The length calculation start in the firebox.

  • How is this product vented? Is this a power vent or does it need to be vented above the roof line so as to got have the smoke forced back into your home during high winds?

This is not a power vent. It is draft like a wood stove. It needs to vent above the roof.

  • Hi my question is how loud the blower is I considered to install this stove in my living room/ great room. What is your recommendation.

It's hard to calculate the sound level, but it's still a furnace, so it's not ideal to put it in a common room.
Normally these are installed in the basement with the necessary connections or in a more insulated room.
